Three Frogs IPA beer review
If your favorite cure for a serious heat wave is a big, bitter IPA, Columbus’ own Elevator Brewery recently started bottling what you are looking for in this beer.
This crisp, clear, honey-golden ale gives off a deceptively mild, earthy aroma that lends the first sip all the more punch.
A flash of tangy hop flavor pairs with a sweet malt base just before an assertive hop bitterness takes over the palate. That sharp effect lingers, finishing with a balanced spicy sweetness that builds as you drink, along with a refreshing, thick effect on the tongue.
Ample sharp carbonation and pure hop astringency produce a big ale without any detectable alcohol heat, which makes Three Frogs a drinkable brew for hop lovers. As the palate adjusts to it, earthy and even yeasty flavors drift in, but the finish is remarkably dry and unapologetically bitter.
Enjoy Three Frogs before a sweet, flavorful meal such as barbecued beef or with a fruit tart for dessert. It is widely available throughout central Ohio, including at all Giant Eagle stores, or on tap at the brew pub Downtown.

Brewery Tours (The April tour is full)
Brewery tours are scheduled for the third Saturday of each month (There will be no tour in May due to our Craft Beer Week Events.). The tour begins at 4PM and cost is $20.00 per person. We ask that you have your reservation in at least one week in advance. It includes a complete tour of the brewery, a demonstration of the brewing process, a souvenir pint glass, a commemorative T-shirt, a beer tasting and a free pint of beer at our restaurant. It is a fun event, and our feedback has been amazing!
Contact Margie Rachel at 614-499-7828 for brewery tour reservations or if you have any questions.
